K2’s Auto Detailing Guarantee
K2’s Auto Detailing guarantees you’ll be satisfied with your service. We strive for excellence in our services, but we are also human. If we miss a spot, customers have a 48-hour window to report any part of their detailing that is not satisfactory, and we will come out and make it right.
Serviced Areas
K2’s Auto Detailing offers services in Gainesville and the surrounding areas, up to 50 miles. If you would like to book services beyond the greater Gainesville area, a travel fee of $0.70 per mile will apply, and water and electrical access must be available on-site. However, the mileage fee will be waived if you book two or more vehicles. Mileage distance is calculated from Alachua, Gainesville.
Services Not Covered
K2’s Auto Detailing does not perform any of the following services:
Removal of seats from vehicle
Clean up of bodily fluids without notification ($100 charge if we do)
Seat tracks (due to not removing seats from the vehicle)
Clean glove box (unless requested and empty)
Clean spare tire area
Clean Undercarriage
Clean wheel wells
Mechanical repairs
Clean or repair engine interior
Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy
If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment due to a change in your schedule, please notify us at least 48 hours in advance to avoid cancellation fees.
Cancellations made with 24-48 hours’ notice can be rescheduled, free of charge.
Cancellations made with 12-24 hours' notice are subject to a cancellation fee of 25% of the service amount, up to $150.00.
No-call/No-show appointments will be charged 100% of the service amount or up to a maximum fee of $250.
K2's Auto Detailing reserves the right to cancel or reschedule appointments due to staffing, traffic, weather, or equipment issues. If we need to cancel your appointment for any reason, you will be given priority for rescheduling or you will receive a full refund.
Payment Terms
Estimates
K2’s Auto Detailing provides service estimates based on the size of the vehicle, our previous experience, and the information provided by the customer. When we arrive, your vehicle will undergo a thorough assessment. If it becomes clear that the actual cost of the service will differ significantly from the initial estimate, K2’s Auto Detailing will inform the customer of the updated price and explain the reasons for the change. Customers will then have the option to either pay the new fee for service or stick with the original quoted amount, which may mean that not all services are completed. Price increases can occur due to factors such as heavy stains, excessive pet hair, significant debris removal, or the presence of hazardous materials.
Deposits
A reservation fee is required at the time of booking, as outlined below. This payment will be applied to your final balance and is fully refundable if you cancel within 48 hours.
$50 for basic services
$100 for essential services
$200 services estimated to cost more than $600
50% deposit is due for services scheduled outside of our general service area
Payments
Full payment for services is due upon completion, unless another arrangement is specified in the estimate or payment agreement. K2's Auto Detailing accepts the following payment methods: cash, credit card, Venmo, PayPal, and CashApp.
Any outstanding invoices that are over 14 days overdue will incur a late payment fee of $25 per week, in addition to the outstanding balance.
Location and Utility Access
To fully service any vehicle, K2s Auto Detailing requires that the service location meets the following criteria:
A flat and clear surface
A well-ventilated area
Sufficient space for all vehicle doors to fully open
An area where detailing is permitted
Access to water and electricity (for sites outside of normal service area)
Vehicle Access
By booking our services, you agree to provide K2’s Auto Detailing personnel with access to your vehicle and its keys to perform the agreed-upon services. Our team may need to start your vehicle or adjust its position to ensure the services are completed properly. Please rest assured, K2’s Auto Detailing will never move your vehicle off the premises.
Vehicle Condition Assessment
Before K2's Auto Detailing performs any services on your vehicle, it is important that you, as the owner, inform us of any cosmetic or mechanical issues that may prevent us from completing the detailing. We will conduct a thorough assessment of your vehicle before starting any service and will document any pre-existing damage or concerns.
Please be aware that certain conditions may hinder or prevent us from completing some services. These conditions include, but are not limited to: a low battery, a trunk that cannot be opened, windows that do not roll down, flat tires, broken or missing parts, and cracked windows. K2's Auto Detailing will not perform any work that could cause damage if your vehicle is unable to handle the service
You will receive an assessment report explaining any services that cannot be completed to our usual standards. K2's Auto Detailing is not liable for any pre-existing damage. If any damage occurs while we service your vehicle, we will promptly inform you. Our liability is limited to the amount paid for the specific service in question. Additionally, K2's Auto Detailing is not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
Extreme Vehicle Condition
In certain extreme vehicle conditions, additional time, equipment, supplies, and labor may be required. If your vehicle has any of the following issues, K2’s will provide you with a new estimate to cover the extra work, and your appointment might need to be rescheduled to ensure there is enough time to complete the service:
Mold
Excessive or embedded mud, pet hair, or other debris
Bodily fluids
Hazardous substances
Please inform us of any hazardous substances in your vehicle before detailing. You assume responsibility for any health or safety risks associated with your vehicle. If there are any potentially harmful substances (such as needles, drugs, gasoline, etc.) in the vehicle, you must notify your detail technician before the detailing begins. You will be held responsible for any health and safety issues that arise from your vehicle.
Personal Belongings
K's Auto Detailing kindly requests that you remove all personal belongings from your vehicle before your appointment. Please note that K's Auto Detailing is not responsible for any lost personal items left in the vehicle. We will do our best to collect any trash and any hidden personal belongings we find before starting the detailing process. Everything we collect will be placed in a plastic bag and left inside the vehicle. Additionally, we may not be able to perform the service if there are too many personal items obstructing the process or at risk of being damaged.
Photo/Video Waiver
By booking our services, you give K2’s Auto Detailing permission to use images of your vehicle for marketing purposes. You may object in writing if you do not want your vehicle's images to be used. By booking and using our services, you confirm that you are authorized to agree to these terms on behalf of the vehicle's legal owner and that you are at least 18 years old. You agree to indemnify and hold K2’s Auto Detailing harmless from any claims or damages that arise from a lack of authority to enter into this agreement
Communications
K2’s Auto Detailing will send you SMS text messages to confirm your service request, provide information about your service, notify you of any issues or delays, and to conduct a customer satisfaction survey after the job is completed. Depending on your mobile phone service, you may incur costs from these SMS text messages from your mobile phone service provider. K2's Auto Detailing is not responsible for any of these potential costs.
Liability
K2’s Auto Detailing’s entire liability and your sole and exclusive remedy for any and all losses and damages for any cause of action arising out of services provided to you by K2’s Auto Detailing shall be limited, at K2’s Auto Detailing’s option and in K2’s Auto Detailing’s sole discretion, to a refund of payment(s) for the service(s) at issue; a recleaning; or, the repair of your vehicles as determined by K2’s Auto Detailing’s in its sole discretion. IN NO EVENT SHALL K2’s Auto Detailing BE LIABLE FOR ANY LOSS, LIABILITY, DAMAGE OR EXPENSE IN AN AMOUNT IN EXCESS OF YOUR ANNUAL TOTAL INVESTMENT, CUSTOMER EXPRESSLY WAIVES ANY AND ALL RIGHTS TO CLAIM ANY ADDITIONAL DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO: ANY LOSS OF USE OR PROFITS, LOSS OF BUSINESS, LOSS OF BUSINESS REPUTATION, EXPENSES OR COSTS ARISING FROM OR ALLEGED TO ARISE FROM BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, DAMAGE TO REAL OR PERSONAL PROPERTY, AND FOR CONSEQUENTIAL, INCIDENTAL, INDIRECT, PUNITIVE, OR SPECIAL DAMAGES CAUSED OR ALLEGED TO BE CAUSED IN WHOLE OR IN PART BY THE NEGLIGENCE, TORT, STRICT LIABILITY, BREACH OF CONTRACT, BREACH OF WARRANTY OR OTHER BREACH OF DUTY BY K2’s Auto Detailing.
